RF Microneedling

Radiofrequency microneedling combines microneedling and radiofrequency lifting, providing an effective solution for wrinkles, stretch marks, and loose skin. This treatment involves a machine with medical-grade micro-needles that create small skin lesions, stimulating skin regeneration like traditional microneedling. Additionally, radiofrequency technology raises the skin’s temperature, promoting skin tightening by altering collagen structure. The controlled damage from needle penetration triggers the body’s healing response, stimulating collagen synthesis and enhancing skin elasticity.

This process tightens the skin, reducing scars, wrinkles, stretch marks, and fine lines. Furthermore, RF-microneedling decreases sebum production, benefiting those with acne issues.

The main benefits of the procedure are:

Effectiveness: stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin, increasing its firmness and elasticity. This results in wrinkle reduction, improved skin texture and tightening of sagging skin.

Safety: a safe procedure that does not harm the skin or cause side effects. It can be used on a variety of skin types and does not require a long recovery period.

It does not require a long recovery period. After the procedure, most patients can immediately return to their daily activities. However, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight and use sunscreen to protect the skin.

Combination option: can be combined with other skin care treatments for even more noticeable results.

Recovery period and contraindications:

RF microneedling is a non-invasive procedure, which means that the risks associated with it are minimal and discomfort is virtually non-existent. That said, patients may experience some minor skin irritation and redness, which usually subsides within 2-24 hours after the procedure.

However, there are a few instances where this procedure is not recommended:

During pregnancy and breastfeeding: It is important to pay attention to the health and safety of both you and your baby. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, it is recommended to avoid procedures that may affect your health and your baby’s health.

If you have autoimmune, cancer or dermatologic conditions: If you have a diagnosed autoimmune, cancer or dermatologic condition, you should consult your doctor before undergoing. Your doctor will be able to evaluate your condition and decide if the procedure is feasible.

If you have pacemakers, defibrillators or metal implants: RF microneedling uses radiofrequency waves that may interact with metal implants or medical devices such as pacemakers or defibrillators. Therefore, if you have such implants or devices, you should discuss the possibility of the procedure with your doctor.

It is not recommended that you take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs a week before the procedure. These medications can affect your skin’s reaction to the procedure and increase the risk of side effects.

Two weeks before the procedure, it is not recommended to take Botox or injectables. This is due to the possible interaction of these medications with the procedure and increased risk of unwanted effects.
